Post COVID-19, industries will be forced to look forward and beyond JIT. 

They will have to look for-

• Diversification of supplier bases as a shield against geographical uncertainties
• Reconfiguration of warehouses to limit supply disruptions
• Increased automation in warehouses to build resilience

We don't know yet how the future will look but we know for sure technology is going to take a bigger share for high traceability in the supply chain. May be JIC or JIT or JIT+JIC hybrid model will be the new normal.

1) As you proceed in business, Relationship becomes more important than communications. 

These relations are initially built through effective communication.

2) Proposals, reports, executive briefing, detailed project report and work papers:

they are prepared using Word, Excel and Powerpoint and are key to effective communication.

3) Executive briefing - summary of a report must not be sent to clients as the report itself.

4) The Pyramid Principle

-Objective of the document must be crystal clear before preparing it

-The audience of the pitch has to be understood : 

            the one who wants to get it implemented (cost, efforts and outcome) and 

            the one who has to implement (help in growth) 

-Context in which content is consumed : 

            are all aspects of the problem covered and 

            are they mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive (MCME).

5) Use hierarchical structure to organize ideas and maintain flow of information

The Launch of Maha Mandi - going virtual this year

Be the torch bearer amidst the mess, when people and businesses are losing direction because of the crashing economy - we have to dare to step out and be an entrepreneur.

Maha Mandi is a one of its kind event held by NITIE every year. It is also recognized as a unique educational initiative. NITIE received award for innovation for this program.

In the words of Dr T Prasad faculty at NITIE and brainchild of the event: Maha Mandi helps otherwise classroom groomed students to practice their business skills by real time selling and exposure to market.

On the occasion of 74th Independence Day, NITIE inaugurated Swadeshi Mandi digitally. This event was joined by several dignitaries including our Director Prof. Manoj Tiwari, NITIE faculty members, and chief guest from the Ministry of HRD.

The world economy is set to contract to an extent which is happening once in a century. Shri Abhay Jere discussed about Aatmanirbahar Bharat. This crisis has taught us the value of local products, we need to be self-reliant and promote local products for boosting India's economy.

Employing people instead of being employed is the need of the hour. To achieve the $ 5 trillion economy, we all need to play a big role in it.

Madam Apeksha graduated from NITIE in 2007, later joined P&G. She left the job to follow her passion and started the “Zyka Ka Tadka” a cooking tutorial on youtube. Today she has more than 4 lakh subscribers on the channel. On her channel, the most-watched video has 31 lakh views. 

Instead of seeking shelter under other’s umbrella, hold your umbrella, and offer shelter to others.

For having a start-up we don’t need a big investment and super ideas, ideas are everywhere around us. Miss Apeksha started Zyka ka Tadka with only Rs 30,000, we need to give a start to our idea.

Crisis and pandemics often teach us that the job market is volatile, it can turn around anytime. 

We need to start selling and promoting local products, jobs are diminishing and start-ups are call of the hour.

Swadeshi, as a strategy, was a key focus of Mahatma Gandhi, who described it as the soul of Swaraj (self rule). It was strongest in Bengal and was also called the Vandemataram movement in India.
